A welterweight contest between Matt Brown and Jake Ellenberger has officially been added to UFC 201 in Atlanta. ESPN was the first to report the booking.

Brown (20-14) will be looking to get back into the win column after suffering a third round submission loss to Demian Maia at UFC 198 earlier this month.

Prior to this setback, fans saw ‘The Immortal’ submit Tim Means by submission in the first round of their UFC 189. He will enter this bout with 18 career stoppage wins including, including 12 by way of (T)KO.

Ellenberger (30-11) will also be looking to right the ship after going 1-5 in his last six Octagon appearances. In his most recent outing, ‘The Juggernaut’ suffered a decision loss to former Strikeforce champion Tarec Saffiedine.

Prior to this loss, fans saw Ellenberger on the receiving end of a violent first round knockout, courtesy of Stephen Thompson. This marked Ellenberger’s third stoppage loss since 2014.

UFC 201 is currently slated to go down on July 30 at Phillips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. A welterweight title fight between reigning champion Robbie Lawler and Tyron Woodley will serve as the main event. A flyweight title fight between champ Demetrious Johnson vs. Wilson Reis is also expected to go down in the co-main event.
