Poirier vs. Johnson To Headline UFC Fight Night 94, Hall vs. Brunson Also On Card Jay Anderson July 19, 2016 News, Spotlight, UFC The headliner for September’s UFC Fight Night 94 has been set as eighth ranked lightweight Dustin “Diamond” Poirier takes on tenth ranked Michael Johnson at the event. The news was confirmed by the UFC Monday. The event takes place September 17 at the State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, Texas. Poirier (20–4) is currently on a four fight win streak, most recently having vanquished Bobby Green at UFC 199. Johnson (16–10), meanwhile, has lost two straight, falling to Beniel Dariush and Nate Diaz, both in 2015. The headlining fight will mark his first trip to the octagon in nine months. Prior to that losing streak, Johnson had won four straight in the lightweight division. Additionally, Fox Sports reported Monday that Uriah Hall (12-6), previously set to face Anderson Silva earlier this year, would be fighting on the card against Derek Brunson (15-3).
