Since solidifying her position at the top of the UFC’s highly competitive women’s 135 lbs division, Amanda Nunes will look to make her second title defense in a rematch against the dangerous and talented No.1-ranked contender Valentina Shevchenko in the main event of UFC 213.

Nunes (14-4) has won seven of her eight UFC bouts, security victory by finish in her last two title bouts; first a submission of then-champion Miesha Tate to win the belt followed up by a TKO win over former-champion Ronda Rousey in her first title defense.

Shevchenko (14-2), a striking specialist by design, has secured victory over the No. 2 and 3-ranked contenders in the division in the form of The Ultimate Fighter-winner Julianna Peña and former UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm, winning via unanimous decision against the latter and by submission of the former. Her only loss in four UFC appearances was against the current champion, a fact that has served as a constant reminder in the run up to this rematch, and has spurred bettors to wager even more on the match.
