Shark Fights 15 main event outcome to be reevaluated

It was already a known item on the New Mexico Athletic Commission’s upcoming July 12 meeting, but now there’s more info as to what outcome the scorecards actually add up to.  Turns out Chris Camozzi should have been awarded a split decision victory over Joey Villasenor in the evening’s headliner, which was instead ruled a draw.

Ricco Rodriguez joins Shark Fights 17 lineup

We already knew that UFC veterans Jake Rosholt and Matt Horwich would headline the July 15 card in a rematch of a 2010 bout won via TKO by Horwich.  Now, the event has a co-headliner in the form of another UFC veteran, former heavyweight champion Ricco Rodriguez.  Rodriguez, who has won 11 straight fights, will lock horns with Karl Knothe, who is on a 12-fight winning streak of his own, in a 230-pound catchweight contest.  The card, which originates out of Frisco, Texas, will air live on HDNet.
