Gustafsson vs. Matyushenko is re-set Rising prospect Alexander Gustafsson will face long-time UFC veteran Vladimir Matyushenko at UFC 141. The two were originally scheduled to meet at UFC 133 this past summer before Matyushenko was injured. Gustaffson easily knocked out replacement Matt Hamill that night. UFC 141 features a main event of former UFC champion Brock Lesnar taking on former Strikeforce titleholder Alistair Overeem. UFC 141 takes place Dec. 30 at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. SOURCE: UFC Soszynski faces Pokrajac at UFC 140 A light-heavyweight fight between former TUF competitor Krzysztof Soszynski and hard-hitting Igor Pokrajac has been set for UFC 140. UFC 140 features Frank Mir and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira facing off for the second time in the main event. UFC 140 takes place Dec. 10 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto. In addition, in the light heavyweight division, Antwain Britt faces Lumumba Sayers. Strikeforce Challengers 20 takes place Nov. 18 at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
