Ferguson and Edwards meet at The Ultimate Fighter Finale

Tony Ferguson, The Ultimate Fighter season 13 champion, will return to the stage of his most important victory.  This time he will face Thugjitsu master Yves Edwards at The Ultimate Fighter Finale 14.

The Ultimate Fighter Finale takes place on Dec. 3 at the Pearl of the Palms Resort in Las Vegas.


Tavares out Starks in as replacement at UFC 137

Former TUF competitor and middleweight prospect Brad Tavares was forced out of next week’s UFC 137 with an injury.  UFC newcomer Clifford Starks steps in to replace him against fellow newcomer Dustin Jacoby.

Starks and Jacoby have been moved to a preliminary bout on UFC 137.  The bantamweight battle between Scott Jorgensen and Jeff Curran has been promoted to the main card.

UFC 137 takes place on Oct. 29 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.


Jabouin and Watson agree to meet at UFC 140

Walel Watson, after an impressive win at UFC Live 6, gets a second chance in the Octagon.  This time he will face Canadian Yves Jabouin at UFC 140.

UFC 140 takes place on Dec. 10 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.


Schoonover injured; Lashley awaits a new opponent

TUF alum Darrill Schoonover is injured and out of the main event fight at Shark Fights 21.  He was scheduled to meet former WWE star Bobby Lashley.  No replacement has been found yet.

Shark Fights 21 takes place Nov. 11 at Fair Park Coliseum in Lubbock, Texas.


Select UFC shows to be shown in 3D

The UFC will partner with Cinedigm Digital Cinema to film events in 3D and air them in up to 120 theatres across the nation.  The first 3D event will be Feb. 4, 2012, and will be the first of four events aired throughout the year in 3D.
