UFC and Affliction veteran Tim Sylvia (30-7) earned a unanimous decision over Andreas Kraniotakes (12-5)…UFC and Strikeforce veteran Andrei Arlovski (17-9) knocked out UFC and IFL vet Travis Fulton (247-49-10) with just one second remaining in their three-round encounter…Ryan Martinez (6-1) advanced in the ProElite heavyweight tournament with a unanimous decision victory over 2009 NCAA heavyweight champion wrestler Mark Ellis (1-1)…Evan Cutts (3-0) took home a unanimous nod over Reagan Penn (1-1), brother of UFC legend B.J. Superior Cage Combat 3 (Las Vegas)

In his lightweight debut, UFC and WEC veteran John Alessio (33-14) earned a unanimous nod over Pride and Dream vet Luiz Firmino (13-6)…IFL veteran Bristol Marunde (15-6) captured the SCC middleweight crown with a unanimous decision over UFC and Bellator vet Jay Silva (7-5)…IFL and MFC veteran Emanuel Newton (17-6-1) submitted TUF 10 alum and UFC vet James McSweeney (6-9) via a first-round rear-naked choke…UFC veteran Steve Lopez (12-6-1) fought to a majority draw with Dominique Robinson (7-4-1). The draw came about as a result of a point deduction against Robinson for an illegal elbow strike…TUF 8 alum and UFC veteran Shane Nelson (15-5) took home a second-round TKO win over Lance Wipf (8-5) when Wipf sustained a knee injury while setting up a triangle…Marlin Weikel (9-2) secured a rear-naked choke in the second round to submit Patrick Gonsalves-Kanoho (3-1).

Armageddon Fighting Championships 7: Break Out (Victoria, British Columbia, Canada)

Derek Medler (7-0) remained undefeated with a first-round guillotine choke submission of Brian Grimshaw (6-2).

Cage 17: Northern Storm (Oulu, Finland)

The fight between Strikeforce veteran Maiju Kujala (6-3) and Karla Benitez (6-1) was scratched from the card.

Hoosier Fight Club 9: Fall Brawl (Valparaiso, Ind.)

TUF 11 alum and UFC veteran Kris McCray (6-3) earned a unanimous verdict over Kevin Nowaczyk (9-2)…TUF 6 alum and Bellator veteran John Kolosci (15-8) eked out a split decision over Dan Bolden (6-15).

MMA Attack (Warsaw, Poland)

Grabowski (black trunks) vs. Ferreira

In a fight that made Sherdog’s 10 November Tussles Worth Watching, UFC veteran Tomasz Drwal (19-4-1) earned a unanimous decision over Bellator and WEC vet Gary Padilla (12-6)…Bellator veteran Damian Grabowski (14-1) locked in a guillotine choke in the first round to submit Joaquim Ferreira (11-7)…Bellator veteran Michal Kita (11-6) took a unanimous nod over UFC and Pride vet Ricco Rodriguez (47-13)…Borys Mankowski (11-4) scored a controversial split decision victory over UFC veteran Peter Sobotta (8-5).

Shooto: Shooto the Shoot 2011 (Tokyo)

Yamagami (white trunks) vs. Ikoma

No. 6-ranked flyweight Shinichi “BJ” Kojima (12-4-5) earned a unanimous decision over No. 8-ranked flyweight and reigning flyweight King of Pancrase Kiyotaka Shimizu (10-6-2) in a fight that made Sherdog’s 10 November Tussles Worth WatchingMikihito Yamagami (7-2) needed only 41 seconds to claim the Shooto 115-pound crown with a knockout of champion Junji Ikoma (14-13-6)…Guy Delumeau (15-6-2) earned his way into the finals of Shooto’s 143-pound Pacific Rim title tournament with a majority decision over 2008 Rookie Tournament MVP Issei Tamura (6-2). Delumeau will meet Wataru Miki (18-10-5) in the finals. Miki fought to a split draw with Tenkei Oda (10-5-3) at the event, but was awarded the finals berth via a blind drawing following the show. Oda, in turn, will get a title bid against the winner of the finals match-up.

Nov. 6
Ultimate Challenge MMA: Dominican Republic (Punta Cana, Dominican Republic)

Richard Griffin (4-7) coaxed a tapout from TUF 3 alum and UFC veteran Ross Pointon (6-13) via a first-round choke…UCMMA lightweight champion Tim Radcliffe (12-4) secured a rear-naked choke in the first round to submit Wesley Murch (9-6) in a non-title affair.
