Carlos Condit opens as favorite over Nick Diaz at UFC 143

Nick Diaz has made it known to anybody that would listen that he feels disrespected by many in the MMA community.  Diaz feels that he is just as good as anybody in the sport and he should be treated as such.  Well, Diaz received another slap in the face when odds makers released the odds on his title fight with Condit at UFC 143 and he was the underdog.  Bettors have since changed that.  It is now a pick-em fight, but again Diaz comes in as the underdog.

Rafaello Oliveira off UFC on FX Card

Rafaello Oliveira’s injured hand will keep him off of the UFC on FX card.  Oliveira, who was hopeful that his hand would heal in time for the fight, announced via his Twitter account today that he will not be able to compete due to his hand injury.

Junie Browning turns himself in to police

Junie Browning has been known for his odd behavior ever since he was introduced to the world as a cast member on the UFC’s reality show The Ultimate Fighter and his recent antics in Thailand are no different.  Browning was involved a bar brawl that received national attention last week and since had been on the run from Thailand authorities.  During Browning’s time on the run, he made several pleas via his Facebook account to the US Embassy stating that he feared for his life and to help get him out of Thailand.  As of yesterday, Browning officially turned himself in to authorities in Thailand.  At this moment, Browning has not been arrested or charged with any crime and is free on his own accord.

Superior Cage Combat 4: Grove vs. Silva set for Feb. 16 in Las Vegas

UFC vet and former Ultimate Fighter winner Kendall Grove returns to action on Feb. 16 for Superior Cage Combat as he takes on Jay Silva.  Officials for the Las Vegas based promotion recently announced the booking.  In addition to the Grove-Silva booking, Justin Buchholz faces John Gunderson, Jamie Yager will meet Danny Davis Jr. and Jimmy Jones takes on Joao Victor.
