Travis Browne vs. Ben Rothwell to collide at UFC on Fox 4

UFC 145 fight-bonus recipients tangle as Travis Browne does battle with Ben Rothwell. Browne remains undefeated professionally as the bad taste of a lackluster performance in a dominating UFC 135 win over Rob Broughton was washed out of fans’ mouths with his quick first-round “Submission of The Night” bonus-winning victory over Chad Griggs. The same UFC 145 event also bore witness to Rothwell earn a solid victory in a knockout victory over Brendan Schaub that went on to win the “Knockout of The Night” bonus.

Francisco Rivera returns to UFC on May 15th; Loveland vs. Crispim set for TPF 13

An undisclosed injury to Azamat Gashimov will postpone his UFC debut until a later point in time, but bantamweight Alex Soto will remain on the card at UFC on Fuel TV 3 in two weeks. In for Gashimov is Francisco Rivera, who dropped his UFC debut against Reuben Duran and was expected to co-headline Tachi Palace Fights 13 against 7-3-0 prospect Alexander Crispim. In for Rivera is recently released UFC bantamweight Ian Loveland, who will look to soothe the sting of his recent two-fight losing skid against Crispim, who will look to get back on the winning track after suffering a loss earlier this spring to Andre Fill.

Report: Hacran Dias to debut against Yuri Alcantara at UFC 147

Highly touted Nova Uniao product Hacran Dias will get no favors done for him in his UFC debut—the first of a three-fight deal with the world’s largest MMA promotion—as the young prospect will reportedly face fellow countryman Yuri Alcantara on the UFC 147 fight card. Alcantara will come off of his UFC 142 victory over Michihiro Omigawa to face Dias, who is riding on the strength of eight recent victories, including a December win over Paulo Dantas at Shooto Brazil 27. It is unknown whether this fight will air on pay-per-view or FX subscribers, or whether this fight will only be seen by those in attendance.

Bellator inks 8-1 prospect Mark Godbeer

British heavyweight prospect Mark Godbeer has signed with Bellator Fighting Championships and is likely to debut at some point during Bellator’s “Summer Series” even series. The product of the Trojan Freefighters camp has finished all eight opponents in eight career victories, with two wins coming by submission and two of his wins coming in the second round. He has never seen the third round in his career and no opponents have been named for his debut, but despite having previously fought at light-heavyweight, Godbeer will take his talent to the Bellator’s “big boy” division.
