Bellator 75 weigh-in results

The fighters for Bellator 75 tipped the scales earlier today and only one fighter weighed in overweight.  Bantamweight Chase Beebe weighed in at 136.2 pounds, .2 pounds over the limit.  Every other fighter on the card met the requirements for their weight class.

Bellator 75 features the season seven heavyweight tournament semi-finals.  The main event will feature a rematch between Eric Prindle and Thiago Santos.  The first time these two met, an unintentional groin strike by Santos left Prindle unable to fight, which resulted in a no-contest.  A rematch was scheduled, however due to various reasons, the fight never materialized.

Geronimo dos Santos off of UFC 153

While an official reason has not been announced, Geronimo dos Santos has been pulled off of next weeks UFC 153 fight card.  The heavyweight was scheduled to take on Gabriel Gonzaga at the event, who is currently left without an opponent.

It is only speculation, but there have been talks that this may leave Gonzaga to take on Daniel Cormier on the Strikeforce card in November.

UFC 153 is scheduled to take place on Saturday, Oct. 13 in Brazil.

UFC 155 to be held at MGM Grand Garden Arena

The UFC’s annual year end card will once again be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

For the last four years, the year end card has been held at the venue, and this will mark the fifth straight year that it will host the event.

UFC 155 is scheduled to be headlined by a heavyweight title fight between Junior dos Santos and Cain Velasquez on Dec. 29.
