Pat Barry and Shane Del Rosario to Meet at TUF 16 Finale

UFC heavyweights Pat Barry and Shane Del Rosario have verbally agreed to fight at the finale of The Ultimate Fighter 16. Del Rosario is 11-1 in his MMA career and is looking to bounce back after his first career loss in May. Barry is similarly looking to right the ship after going 1-3 in his last four fights, most recently losing via TKO to Lavar Johnson, also in May.

During the TUF 16 season, Barry served as an assistant coach to Shane Carwin, who will fight opposing coach Roy Nelson in the card’s main event.

Invicta FC’s Ediene Gomes Will Next Face Hiroko Yamanaka

Invicta FC featherweight Ediene Gomes has signed a new three-fight deal with the promotion and will fight Hiroko Yamanaka at Invicta’s next event. Gomes defeated Katalina Malungahu at Invicta FC 3 earlier this month and is 9-2 overall. In Hiroko Yamanaka, Gomes will face a fighter who, while coming off a loss, rattled off eight straight wins between 2008 and 2011.

Invicta FC 4 is tentatively planned for early 2013 in Kansas City, Kan.
