Eduardo Dantas to defend title against Marcos Galvao on Feb. 14 After winning the season six bantamweight tournament this past August, Marcos Galvao will finally get his shot against Eduardo Dantas on Feb. 14. Galvao is riding a three-fight win streak heading into the title fight with his last loss coming in the season five bantamweight tournament against Alexis Vila. This will be the first fight for Dantas since his August loss to Tyson Nam in what was a huge upset of the Bellator champion. Fortunately for Dantas, the loss came in a regional Brazilian promotion and his Bellator title was safe. The Feb. 14 card is shaped up to be Bellator 89 and will be aired live on Spike TV from Charlotte, NC. Source: The MMA Corner XFC 22 adds women’s flyweight fight When Xtreme Fighting Championships returns to AXStv on Feb. 22, they’ll be bringing along a women’s flyweight fight containing two newly signed fighters. Female flyweight, Pearl Gonzalez will take on Suzie Montero at the Grady Cole Center in Charlotte, NC. While Gonzalez is 0-1, in he first pro fight she fought a very tough Munah Holland where she dropped the decision. Montero is 1-1 with her lone win coming over Kim Couture. Montero lost her last time out against Jessamyn Duke at Invicta FC 2. Source: The MMA Corner Two Strikeforce fighters added to UFC cards next year Two more Strikeforce fighters will have fights in 2013 under the UFC banner. Strikeforce lightweight, Bobby Green, will be headed to UFC 156 in Las Vegas to fight Jacob Volkmann. Green is on a four-fight win streak heading into this fight with Volkmann. After losing to Paul Sass by triangle, Volkmann won his last time out against Shane Roller in October. In other Strikeforce news, Caros Fodor will fight Sam Stout at UFC 157 on Feb. 23. UFC 157 is headlined by the Ronda Rousey title fight and will be taking place in the Honda Center in Anaheim. After building a five-fight win streak in Strikeforce, Fodor lost this past March to Pat Healy and was expected to face Josh Thomson this past September.
