The event featured a featherweight title fight between current champion Jose Aldo and former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar. The fight marked one of the most-anticipated superfights in recent memory. Saturday’s main card aired live on pay-per-view starting at 10 p.m. ET. The preliminary card was split between a 8 p.m. ET FX broadcast and a YouTube stream beginning at 7 p.m. ET. Aldo bested Edgar by unanimous decision after five, hard-fought rounds to retain his featherweight strap. The Brazilian moved to 4-0 in the UFC and has tasted defeat just once in his career, in 2005.
