UFC 157: Liz Carmouche Pre-Fight Video Interview The MMA Corner Staff February 21, 2013 UFC, Video On Saturday, Feb. 23, the UFC will hold UFC 157 from the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. The event will feature women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, who will compete in the Octagon for the first time against former Strikeforce title challenger Liz Carmouche. The historic bout will mark the first women’s fight in the promotion’s history. Saturday’s main card will air live on pay-per-view starting at 10 p.m. ET. The preliminary card will be split between an 8 p.m. ET FX broadcast and a YouTube stream beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET. Carmouche, a former United States Marine, will look to play spoiler when she steps into the Octagon for the first time. Thus far, no fighter has been able to overcome Rousey’s armbar attack, but Carmouche is no stranger to surprising fans and pundits alike. In just her seventh professional bout, Carmouche stepped in on late notice to push then-champion Marloes Coenen to the fourth round before succumbing to a triangle choke. Since then, Carmouche dropped a hard-fought decision to another former champ, Sarah Kaufman, but bounced back with two straight stoppage victories under the Invicta banner.
