UFC, not CSAC Pulled Dan Hardy from UFC on Fox 7 Bout

After some pre-fight testing revealed a rare heart disorder in Dan Hardy, the Englishman was yanked from his scheduled contest against Matt Brown at the UFC on Fox 7 event.

It was previously believed that the California State Athletic Commission were the ones who pulled Hardy out. With this recent development and Hardy’s refusal to look into surgical options,  it appears as if Hardy’s future in the Octagon is bleak at best.

Bellator 94 Averages 713,000 Viewers

Bellator saw a bit of a drop in ratings for its Bellator 94 event as the show averaged 713,000 viewers. Bellator 93 attracted an average of 741,000 viewers but the promotion’s high mark this season was the debut on Spike TV which averaged 938,000 viewers.

Bellator 94 saw Emmanuel Newton be crowned the season 8 light heavyweight tournament champion and David Rickels earning a title shot by defeating Saad Awad.

Anthony Smith vs. Antonio Braga Neto Set for UFC on Fuel 10

A pair of middleweights will make their UFC debuts when Anthony Smith faces Antonio Braga Neto at the UFC on Fuel 10 event.

Smith is coming off a two-fight stint in Strikeforce that saw him submit Lumumba Sayers and be tapped out himself by Roger Gracie. Neto will be fighting in front of his countrymen and the grappling star will bring a three-fight winning streak to his Octagon debut.
