UFC on FS1 debut possible for Henderson-Grant

Newly-minted UFC lightweight title contender TJ Grants shocked many by defeating Gray Maynard at UFC 160. Now, Grant knows he will meet UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson for the belt, and while not confirmed, Grant could fight Henderson at the UFC’s Aug. 17 return to Boston, which marks the promotion’s debut on the new Fox Sports 1. UFC president Dana White spoke after UFC 160, mentioning Henderson-Grant as one fight that could make the billing for that event.

Hall injured, out of Metamoris II

Ryan Hall will no longer face 2-1 former Strikeforce veteran Bill “The Grill” Cooper at Metamoris II on June 9 due to a shoulder injury. Subsequently, word remains unclear on whether Cooper will remain face another competitor. In any event, fans can witness the event live from the Pauley Pavillion in Los Angeles, Calif., which features Shinya Aoki and Rickson Gracie in the headlining matchup.

Madadi arrested, denies burglary charges

Reza Madadi has been arrested after a smash-and-grab which took place in Stockholm. Madadi’s lawyer claims that “Mad Dog” denies the charges but will not speak further until things evolve with the legal proceedings. UFC officials could not comment on this matter at this time.

UFC launches “Click for Vic”

In an effort to change the current state of MMA legislation in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, the UFC has launched the “Click for Vic” campaign. Along with Western Australia, Victoria mandates that MMA action take place in a boxing-style ring than in an Octagon. Fans looking to support the cause may do so via either Facebook or Twitter.

CWFC 55 card set

This Saturday, Cage Warriors 55 emanates live  The Helix in Dublin, Ireland. Che Mills challenges Cage Warriors welterweight champion Cathal Pendred for his title, while Neil Seery faces Mikael Silander for the inaugural flyweight title. Also, Chris Fields faces former Bellator middleweight tournament competitor Norman Paraisy.
