In the Cage – WSOF 4 Adds Fights, UFC Tryouts for Chinese Version of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ Sal DeRose June 29, 2013 News Each day, The MMA Corner will provide a recap of results, event announcements, fight match-ups, and injuries/cancellations from throughout the world of MMA. WSOF 4 Adds Two Fights World Series of Fighting president, Ray Sefo will trade in his suit for a pair of fight trunks at WSOF 4 when he meets Dave Huckaba at heavyweight on August 10. The fight will be Sefo’s first fight in two years. The legendary kickboxer has only fought three times in MMA and is 2-1 as a pro with his most recent fight against Valentijn Overeem being his only loss. Sefo lost the fight via a neck crank submission. Huckaba has won nine of his last ten fights and currently has 25 fights under his belt, last fighting on Jan. 18. The card will also add another kickboxing superstar, Tyrone Spong, who will face Angel DeAnda at light heavyweight. WSOF 4 goes down on Aug. 10 in Ontario, California at the Citizens Business Bank Arena. Source: Sherdog Tryouts for UFC Chinese version of “Ultimate Fighter” Set for July 21 China will get it’s own version of The Ultimate Fighter, with the first tryouts set for July 21 in Beijing. The UFC will also hold tryouts on the 25 at Marina Bay Sands SIngapore and again on August 3 at the Venetian Macao. TUF: China will be yet another attempt by the UFC to break into a different market through the reality series. The UFC has also had the show head to Brazil and included seasons in England and Australia. Tryout participants must be 18-years-old and not contractually obligated to another organization.
