On Friday, Nov. 15, Bellator hosted its 108th event from the Ovation Hall at Revel Atlantic City in Atlantic City, N.J.

In the night’s main event, UFC veterans Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Joey Beltran squared off in a light heavyweight affair. Both fighters were looking to snap lengthy losing streaks dating back over a year in their promotional debuts. Jackson’s three-fight skid dated back to May of 2011, while Beltran went winless in his second stint with the UFC.

Also on the main card, Bellator heavyweight champion Alexander Volkov put his belt on the line for the first time against his fellow Russian Vitaly Minakov. The towering, 6-foot-7 Volkov captured the promotion’s vacant championship at the end of 2012 with a decision win over Rich Hale. Minakov, meanwhile, kept his undefeated record intact with a third-round TKO over Ryan Martinez to earn a title shot.

In addition to the main event and heavyweight title fight, the promotion crowned the champion of the season nine featherweight tournament as Patricio “Pitbull” Friere battled Strikeforce veteran Justin Wilcox for $100,000 and a guaranteed title shot against newly-crowned champion Daniel Straus.

The action kicked off at 6:30 p.m. ET with seven fights live on Spike.com. The five-fight main card aired live on Spike TV beginning at 9 p.m. ET.
