At bantamweight, Brazilian Raphael Assuncao looks to put himself in title talks when he meets hard-hitting Francisco Rivera. In a welterweight contest, TUF: Smashes winner Robert Whittaker will take on striking stalwart Stephen Thompson. UFC 170 takes place on Feb. 22 from the Mandalay Bay Events Center and is headlined by a light heavyweight bout between former UFC champion Rashad Evans and undefeated Daniel Cormier. Montague suffered a first-round knockout loss to John Dodson in his Octagon debut, while Campuzano dropped a decision to Sergio Pettis in his promotional return, at bantamweight. UFC 171 takes place from the American Airlines Center and is headlined by a welterweight title bout between Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler. No replacement has been named at this time. UFC Fight Night 35 takes place from the Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Ga. on Jan. 15. Source: Sherdog “Bigfoot” fails drug tests, stripped of FOTN bonus Brazilian heavyweight Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva has tested positive for elevated levels of testosterone and will be forced to give back his $50,000 “Fight of the Night” bonus for his war with Mark Hunt. The pair battled to majority draw at UFC Fight Night 33 which took place on Dec. 7 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Silva was given a therapeutic use exemption (TUE) for testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), but still came in above the allowable limit in his post-fight drug test.
