Brent Weedman retires from MMA After amassing a career record of 22-9-1, Bellator veteran Brent Weedman has officially retired from mixed martial arts. During his time in Bellator, he went 8-4 and participated in four of the promotions tournaments. He was unable to win any of the tournaments, however he was able to make it to the finals of the season six lightweight tournament where he lost by decision to Rick Hawn. In a statement released by his management, Weedman plans on focusing more on his family in his post-fight career. Troy Gerhart is the newest member of the promotion, and considering that XFC recently crowned a featherweight champion, Gerhart gets thrown straight into the promotions title picture. He holds a 6-2 professional record, winning five times by knockout. Gerhart is familiar with the big stage as he has fought twice with Bellator, and he has even fought once before with XFC back in 2008.
