Bellator 110 Weigh-In Results

Bellator’s tenth season of action kicks off tomorrow night with Bellator 110.  But before the season can start, the fighters had to tip the scales in an effort to make their bouts official for Friday.  The event will feature six tournament bouts, with the start of the four man light heavyweight tournament and the start of the eight man featherweight tournament.  All tournament bouts have become official, as the 12 fighters made weight.

The only fighter that missed weight was light heavyweight Dave Roberts, who weighed in at 212-pounds for his undercard fight against Pat Schultz.  Because he missed weight, it has been announced that he will not compete, resulting in the bout being scrapped.

Bellator 110 takes place tomorrow night in Uncasville, Conn.  The main card airs live on Spike TV at 9 p.m. EST.

TUF Brazil 3 cast revealed

On March 9, the world will get to see the first episode of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3 with head coaches Wanderlei Silva and Chael Sonnen. While the two coaches have made headlines prior to the taping of the show, and even during the taping of the show, the other fighters on the show have officially been announced as the cast of heavyweight and middleweight fighters was officially revealed today.

Nate Diaz tweets request for release from UFC

It appears as though UFC lightweight Nate Diaz has officially requested his release from the promotion.  The winner of the fifth season of The Ultimate Fighter tweeted a message to the promotion and to UFC president Dana White, saying that it is time for him to be on his way.

During his time with the promotion, he went 12-7 and lost in his only title fight.  He was awarded Fight of the Night five times, along with five Knockout of the Night performances and one Submission of the Night.

Two bouts added to Cincinnati card

A lightweight and a bantamweight contest have been added to UFC Fight Night 40.  Johnny Eduardo will take on Eddie Wineland, and Erik Koch will battle Daron Cruickshank.

Wineland recently took down Yves Jabouin by TKO, while his Brazilian counterpart most recently took down most recently defeated Jeff Curran.  Both Koch and Cruickshank won their last fight by TKO in the first and second round, respectively.

UFC Fight Night 40 takes place on May 10 from Cincinnati.

Dillashaw to meet Mizugaki at UFC 173

Bantamweights T.J. Dillashaw and Takeya Mizugaki have verbally agreed to meet this May at UFC 173.

Both fighters are on a roll as of late, as the Team Alpha Male product has won five out of his last six and Mizugaki has won four in a row.

UFC 173 will take place on May 24 in Las Vegas.
