Dong Hyun Kim (John Evans/Sherdog)yVBc4JzvFTcTUF China Finale: Kim vs. Hathaway Post-Fight Press Conference The MMA Corner Staff March 1, 2014 Events, Video On Saturday, March 1, the UFC hosted The Ultimate Fighter: China Finale from the CotaiArena in Macau, China. In the night’s main event, South Korean welterweight Dong Hyun Kim looked to build on the momentum of a violent, second-round knockout of Erick Silva in his last outing when he faced off with England’s once-beaten John Hathaway. The 26-year-old Hathaway stepped into the Octagon for the first time in over a year, but carried with him a three-fight winning streak. The co-main event featured the welterweight final of the inaugural installment of The Ultimate Fighter: China. It will pit Zhang Lipeng against Wang Sai. The event was also expected to feature the featherweight final, but an injury forced the bout between Yang Jianping and Ning Guangyou to be delayed to a later date. Rounding out the main card was a heavyweight battle between Shawn Jordan and Matt Mitirione and a featherweight match-up showcasing Hatsu Hioki against Ivan Menjivar. The eight-fight event streamed live on Saturday via the promotion’s digital network, UFC Fight Pass. The preliminary card kicked off at 6:20 a.m ET, with the four-fight main card beginning at 8 a.m. ET. For a full recap and results of the event, click here.
