On Friday, April 4, Legacy Fighting Championship visited the Route 66 Casino in Albuquerque, N.M., for its 30th event. The main card aired live on AXS TV.

In the night’s main event, the promotion crowned its inaugural women’s bantamweight champion as former boxing champion Holly Holm took on Brazilian Juliana Werner.

Holm, who made headlines as a potential future opponent for UFC champion Ronda Rousey, carried a perfect, 6-0 record into the Legacy cage. The 32-year-old was making her third appearance for the promotion, having stopped five of her six opponents by strikes.

Werner, meanwhile, moved up from the 125-pound flyweight division to challenge Holm. The Brazilian was riding a five-fight winning streak and all three of her losses have come against consensus No. 2-ranked fighter Vanessa Porto.

The 13-fight event kicked off with seven, un-aired preliminary card bouts that were split between five amateur bouts and two professional contents. The night’s six-fight main card aired live on AXS TV beginning at 10 p.m. ET.
