T. J. Dillashaw (Dave Mandel/Sherdog)xT1NWq030PUThe MMA Corner’s Video News Round-Up: Dillashaw’s Upset, Cormier’s Dominance, Fitch-Burkman III, Curran Injured The MMA Corner Staff May 25, 2014 News, Spotlight, Video Every Sunday, The MMA Corner will take a look back at the biggest news of the week. On this week’s installment, we discuss T.J Dillashaw’s stunning upset of Renan Barao at UFC 173. Dillashaw’s dominance earned him the bantamweight title, but what’s next for the new champion? And what’s next for the now former champion Barao? We also look at Daniel Cormier’s dominant performance against Dan Henderson. Cormier simply outclassed Henderson from the opening bell, ragdolling him around the Octagon before choking the former Pride and Strikeforce champion unconscious in the third round. Should Cormier sit out and wait for a title shot? Or should he stay active? It was recently revealed that former Strikeforce champion and UFC title challenger Jake Shields is injured and is out of a planned WSOF 11 bout against Jon Fitch. As such, World Series of Fighting has announced that Fitch will face Josh Burkman for a third time. Is this the right match-up to make? Does the winner deserve a title shot against champion Rousimar Palhares? Bellator featherweight champion Pat Curran suffered a calf injury and was forced off of Bellator 121. The card is now headlined by James Thompson vs. Eric Prindle. Is this a product of Bellator simply spreading itself too thin? Finally, we’ll touch on the recently announced lightweight match-up between Gray Maynard and Fabricio Camoes at UFC 176. Is this a loser leaves town match-up? Join us above as we look back at all the news from throughout the world of MMA. The live video stream will begin at 2 p.m. ET. Do you have a question or a topic you’d like the hosts to discuss?
