Bobby Green vs. Abel Trujillo Set for UFC 176 A lightweight contest between Bobby Green and Abel Trujillo has been added to UFC 176. Green is riding a seven-fight winning streak and is currently ranked at No. 13 in the UFC’s lightweight division. Trujillo has won back-to-back contests after knocking out both Roger Bowling and Jamie Varner. UFC 176 is scheduled for Aug. 2 and will be headlined by a UFC featherweight title fight between Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes. Source: UFC Injury Forces Luiz Dutra Out of UFC Fight Night 44 An injury to Luiz Dutra has forced him out of his scheduled fight with Sean Spencer. Although the UFC hasn’t made an official announcement, the Dutra-Spencer fight has been removed from the official fight card page at UFC.com. UFC Fight Night 44 takes place June 28 at AT&T Center in San Antonio and will be headlined by a featherweight clash between Cub Swanson and Jeremy Stephens. Robertson has alternated wins and losses since debuting in the UFC while Alcantara has gone 2-1 since dropping to the welterweight division. UFC 175 takes place on July 5 and features two title fights as Chris Weidman faces Lyoto Machida and Ronda Rousey takes on Alexis Davis. Source: Globo Ulysses Gomez Signs Multi-Fight Deal with RFA Ulysses Gomez will begin his post-UFC career in the RFA promotion as the former UFC flyweight has signed a multi-fight deal. No debut date or terms were given for the contract. Gomez was scheduled to appear in the Cage Warriors promotion in December but collapsed while cutting weight and the fight was scrapped. Source: RFA Legacy FC Signs Trio of Undefeated Brazilians Texas-based promotion Legacy FC has signed a trio of undefeated Brazilians to multi-fight deals. Bruno Ferreira (8-0), Pedro Souza (11-0) and Bruno Viana (7-0) have all agreed to sign with the promotion. All three are expected to debut in September at a future Legacy FC event. He will face Patrick Cummins who is fresh off a victory over Roger Narvaez at UFC Fight Night 42. It will be Cummins third fight in 2014 after making his promotional debut earlier this year. Kingsbury’s last Octagon appearance was a loss to Jimi Manuwa that pushed his UFC record to 4-4.
