The MMA Corner’s Aline Bak recently caught up with Ronda Rousey’s coach, Edmond Tarverdyan. He discussed Rousey’s career and her upcoming UFC 175 bout versus Alexis Davis on Saturday, July 5 in Las Vegas.

Ronda has nine wins in nine fights. How do you see her career so far?

Ronda is 9-0 with all finishes. I’m very happy with her performance every fight, but still I believe she can do better and get better every time.

What are your expectations for this fight against Davis?

I see a knockout victory for Ronda. Last—Sara [McMann]—fight, I called a body-shot TKO, and this one I see a knockout victory.

Give me your thoughts about the Four Horsewomen.

The girls train very hard, and I say they are the saints in our gym.

We saw an Instagram vídeo where Ronda was displaying the Brazil shirt. Are you and her following the Word Cup? And Brazil is her choice?

She loves to support great games and teams. Yes, she likes Brazil.

Talk about the camp for this fight.

Camp is great. She has been dropping and stopping sparring opponents that are world-class fighters.

How do you as head coach see Dana White talking about Ronda as the next Chuck Liddell in the UFC and wanting to fight anywhere, anytime?

She is an amazing champion. She is—more for me than anyone—I think she is special and there won’t be another Ronda Rousey. I don’t compare. I just say she is a very unique champion.
