Our website might be known for our stellar interviews, editorials, and event coverage of the MMA world, but tonight The MMA Corner opens our doors to a new realm. There are some stickler fans who will try to deny it, but the crossover factor between MMA and pro wrestling is very real. Heck, the UFC owes a lot of where they are today to Vince McMahon allowing the first season of The Ultimate Fighter to air right after the WWE’s flagship program, Monday Night Raw. Starting with tonight and the Biggest Event of The Summer, Summerslam, The MMA Corner will be your go-to spot for all your WWE pay-per-view coverage alongside with occasional editorials and event previews. The MMA Corner is now your one stop shop for all of your combat sports needs. Now on to Summerslam.

Tonight was a big night for an MMA and wrestling crossover. Former UFC champion, Brock Lesnar, challenged John Cena for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. WWE’s second biggest event of the year was also filled with marquee matches. Rising stars Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt took on legends of the business in Randy Orton and Chris Jerich respectively. Finally in something that could only compare to Dana White or Lorenzo Fertitta stepping foot in the cage; Stephanie McMahon stepped in the ring for the first time in a decade against Brie Bella.
