This Wednesday at noon EST, tickets for UFC 180 will go on sale to the general public. The only fight announced at this time is a heavyweight championship bout between reigning UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez and the #1 ranked contender Fabricio Werdum.

Velasquez is currently riding a four fight winning streak, with two of those bouts being successful title defenses against Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva and former heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos. Overall, Velasquez holds a mixed martial arts record of 13-1, with his lone defeat coming by TKO in his first fight against Junior dos Santos on the very first UFC on FOX card in 2011.

Fabricio Werdum is having a career resurgence as of late. Werdum holds an overall mixed martial arts record of 18-5-1 and has won his last four fights since returning to the UFC in 2012. During that run, he has defeated Roy Nelson, Mike Russow, Rodrigo Minotauro Nogueira, and Travis Browne. Werdum is perhaps most known for his triangle choke victory over Fedor Emeilianenko in the Strikeforce heavyweight tournament. He ended up losing his semifinal bout against Alistar Overeem in the tournament that was won by current UFC light heavyweight contender Daniel Cormier.

Before they square off inside the Octagon, Velasquez and Werdum will be opposing coaches on The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America. This season will feature bantamweights and featherweights.

The two coaches will face off against each-other on November 15 at the Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico. At this time, no other fights have been announced, but you can bet the card will be stacked with Mexican fighters as the UFC makes their entrance into that market.
