The middleweight title bout e champion Alexander Shlemenko and challenger Brandon Halsey has been made official as both make weight prior to their main event title fight. For Shlemenko (50-8) this will be an opportunity to erase the image of his last fight where fans saw him suffer a first round submission loss to former UFC champion Tito Ortiz at Bellator 120 in May. Halsey (7-0), on the other hand, will look to cement himself as a legitimate title contender after picking up wins in his first fights under the Bellator banner. Also set appear on the main card is a lightweight matchup between Marcin Held against Patricky Freire, as well as former NCAA wrestling national champion Bubba Jenkins taking on Thiago Meller. Bellator MMA will take place from GCU Arena on Friday, September 26th with the first fight taking place at 4 p.m. PST and streaming LIVE on Spike.com.
