Daniel Straus (Dave Mandel/Sherdog)Bellator 127 Weigh-Ins Set for October 2nd at the Pechanga Resort and Casino José Youngs September 30, 2014 Bellator, News On Tuesday, Bellator MMA announced it will host the weigh-ins and pre-fight press conference for Bellator 127 at Cabaret Theater inside Pechanga Resort & Casino Thursday at 5 p.m. PST. Bellator 127 will take place in the same arena on the following day. The first fight is currently scheduled to to stream LIVE on Spike.com at 4 p.m. PST. The televised portion of the night will air on Spike TV at 9 p.m. EST. A featherweight both between former champion Daniel Straus and Bellator Season Nine Featherweight Tournament Runner-Up Justin Wilcox will serve as the night’s main event. Straus (22-5) will be competing for the first time since dropping his belt to longtime rival Pat Curran in their rubber match at Bellator 112 in March. This loss snapped the American Top Team product’s six fight win streak. Wilcox (14-6) was last seen scoring a unanimous decision victory over Jason Fischer in a lightweight bout at Bellator 114. Prior to this win, the American Kickboxing Academy suffered a first round TKO loss to current champion Patrício ‘Pitbull Freire in the season nine tournament finale at Bellator 108. All participants from Friday night’s event will be on hand, as well as Bellator President Scott Coker. The event will be emceed by Bellator cage announcer Michael C. Williams and Bellator color commentator Jimmy Smith. As always the weigh-in is open to both the public and media.
