On Thursday, the UFC announced a welterweight matchup between Miller and TUF 1 finalist Daniel Sarafian has officially been added to UFC Fight Night 58 in Brazil. Miller (14-7), a longtime member of the UFC’s middleweight division, compiled a UFC record of 5-5 before making the drop to 170-pounds. He was last seen on the receiving end of a first round TKO loss to Jordan Mein at UFC 158 in March 2013. Prior to this loss, the man known as ‘Deadly’ walked away with a first round submission victory in his welterweight debut over Ricardo Funch at UFC on FX 4 in July 2012. He will enter this bout with 10 career stoppage victories, including nine by way of submission. Sarafian (8-5), a member of the Power MMA team in Arizona, will enter this bout riding a two-fight streak. In his last bout, he suffered a first round submission loss in his welterweight debut against Kiichi Kunimoto at UFC 174 in June. Prior to making the drop to 170-pounds he compiled a UFC record of 1-2, including a Fight of the Night performance in his loss to C.B. Dollaway at UFC on FX 7. UFC Fight Night 58 is set to take place on Dec. 20 at the Ginásio José Corrêa in Brazil. A middleweight matchup between Dollaway and former UFC light heavyweight champion turned middleweight contender Lyoto Machida will serve as the night’s main event.
