The day has finally arrived.

This evening, in front of a sizable crowd and an even larger viewing audience, UFC light heavyweight kingpin Jon Jones will put his title up for grabs when he meets Daniel Cormier at UFC 182. 2015’s first even will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV beginning at 10 pm here on the East Coast and 7 pm PST live on pay-per-view.

Today also marks the final opportunity for fight fans to take part in Fantasy MMA for UFC 182 presented by the DraftKings.

DraftKings offers fans across the globe salary-cap based contests where participants have a fixed salary-cap of $50,000. Each participant will fill their roster by choosing five fighters from UFC 182. The official scoring guide is listed below:

  • Significant Strikes are any Distance Strike or Clinch/Ground Strikes that are considered “Power Strikes” by official scorers.

    • To Half Guard
    • To Side Control
    • To Mount
    • To Back Control

Player Lock Notes: All fighters lock at the time the first fight starts in an event.


Fight fans are able to edit their roster as many times as they see feasible before the contest closing time, but all rosters are set and final and cannot be changed after a game locks. DraftKings also provides contestants with live scoring while official scores and results will be posted at the conclusion of the contest. DraftKings will wait until all of the final fight statistics have been reported for each contest’s tournament to ensure that the final results are accurate.
