(Jeff Sherwood/Sherdog)UFC 185 Fight Card: Questions We Have About Anthony Pettis Jeremy Klump March 13, 2015 Events, News, Spotlight UFC 185 features two title fights, one of them is for the lightweight belt between, Anthony Pettis and Rafael dos Anjos. Pettis has only fought twice with the UFC lightweight belt on the line and many are wondering if dos Anjos is the man to take him down and become the new lightweight champion. Other than a disappointing loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov, dos Anjos has been climbing his way to a title shot. Dos Anjos has won many of his fights by decision, eleven of his twenty-three wins, or 48%. Pettis has only lost two times, but those two losses come by way of decision, so dos Anjos has some numbers behind him to show he has a chance to knock off the champion. There are a couple questions we all have about Pettis before his UFC 185 title fight and here they are: Is Pettis Finally Injury Free? One of the hardest aspects of the UFC for Pettis hasn’t been the top competition he has fought, but instead, it has been staying healthy. The reports are that Pettis is finally injury free and he is ready to go, but again, is this really the case? Pettis has been known for his injuries and has been said to change his training ways, it is just hard to know if the current lightweight champion is actually injury free. Will The One Fight In 2014 Show? Pettis only fought one time in 2014, as opposed to Rafael dos Anjos, who has fought four times in 2014. Pettis has not been in the octagon as much as he, and fans, have wanted him to be. With only the one fight in 2014, one big question will be if the lightweight champion is a rusty in the cage on Saturday night. Win or Lose: How Many Times Will We See Pettis Fight This Year? Like I said, Pettis has only fought once in 2014, but also, he has only fought twice in 2013. He also only fought once in 2012, just like in 2014. Pettis has struggled to fight more than twice for three years now ad many are wondering if 2015 will be different. With a win or a loss on Saturday, many want to know how many times we will get to see one of the most exciting fighters in the UFC in 2015.
