(Dave Mandel/Sherdog)UFC 186: Keys to Victory for Michael Bisping Jeremy Klump April 24, 2015 Events, News, Spotlight One of the best fights at UFC 186 is Michael Bisping vs. CB Dollaway. CB Dollaway is 16-7 in his professional MMA career and currently the #11 ranked middleweight in the UFC. Dollaway is coming off of a TKO loss to Lyoto Machida on December 20. The loss was a bump in the road for Dollaway and he will try to get back on track against Bisping. Bisping has had a very up and down career as of late, not winning two fights in a row since his four fight win streak from 2010-2011. Bisping is coming off of a round two-submission loss to middleweight title contender Luke Rockhold. Bisping is currently 25-7 in his professional career and the #10 ranked middleweight in the UFC. Bisping will be looking to show fans and the UFC that he is not done. If he can win two or three fights in a row, he could put his name right back up there with the top. It will not be easy for Bisping, as Dollaway is a very good fighter, but here are the keys to victory for Bisping: Stop The Takedown: It is no surprise what Dollaway is going to want to do when fighting Michael Bisping. Dollaway is going to look for the takedown early and often, but Bisping has to defend the takedown so that he does not get grinded down to a decision loss. Of Dollaway’s last four wins, he only has one finish, all the other victories coming by way of decision. If Bisping can stop the takedown, he is one step closer to securing a victory. Win The Stand-Up Game: After Bisping stops the takedown, he needs to show that he is easily the best striker in the octagon. If he can start finding his spots and landing some good strikes, Bisping could be looking at his sixteenth TKO/KO victory of his career. Do Not Hold Back: This is a fight that Bisping needs to win. A loss could mean that the climb to a title fight may never happen again. No matter what happens throughout the fight, Bisping needs to give it everything he has. Even if they go to the third round, with Bisping clearly winning the first two, he needs to keep the pressure on Dollaway. One slip-up could be the difference in us mentioning Bisping fighting for title contention or Bisping fighting to stay in the UFC.
