A featherweight contest between Dennis Bermudez and Maximo Blanco has officially been added to UFC Fight Night 81 in Boston.

The Boston Herald announced the bout last Thursday.

Bermudez (14-4), the runner up on season 14 of The Ultimate Fighter, will be looking to snap his career worst two fight losing streak. In his most recent contest, “The Menace” suffered a third round flying knee knockout from Jeremy Stephens at UFC 189 in July.

Prior to this loss, Bermudez saw his seven fight win streak snapped at the hands of a first round submission to former title contender Ricardo Lamas at UFC 180. Of his seven previous wins, three ended came by way of stoppage, including an impressive second round submission over fan favorite Clay Guida.

Blanco (12-6-1), a Pancrase Lightweight Championship, will look to improve on his three fight win streak. In his most recent outing, the Venezuelan walked away with a violent 16-second knockout over Mike De la Torre at the TUF 12 Finale in July. Prior to this victory, “Maxi” earned back-to-back decisions over Dan Hooker and Andy Ogle.

UFC Fight Night 81 is currently set to take place Jan. 17 in Boston. A bantamweight title fight between reigning champion T.J. Dillashaw and former champion Dominick Cruz will serve as the main event.
