Tale of the Tape Renato Moicano is a former interim featherweight champion back at the Jungle Fight organization in his hometown. The 30-year old Brazilian has spent a good amount of years in his country before finally signing with the UFC back in 2014. An orthodox fighter, Moicano is best known for his ability to take advantage of his reach. Most of his wins, however, are done by submission – clear evidence of his Brazilian root. Although he lost via a knockout against former UFC champion Jose Aldo, Moicano has proven himself to be a force to be reckoned with. Chan Sung Jung may be a fresh name in the MMA world, but the name Korean Zombie is no stranger – everyone in the sport knows about him and his intensity. The Zombie is best known for his exceptional ability to take punches and recover with ease. Mind you, he took a two-year break in order to serve his country (South Korea’s military services). The Korean Zombie has a record of 14-5, with 8 submissions and 4 knockouts. But like Moicano, he is also coming back from a lost courtesy of Yair Rodriguez in November. Interestingly, the Zombie was ahead of the scoreboard but was unable to sustain the game. It is really hard to say which one of them will win. However, it is interesting to see if Moicano has a better punching power than Chan Sung Jung. Or, if not, the Korean Zombie might just surprise people with his incredible submission skills.
